Indonesia Welcomes Travelers with 5-Year Multiple Entry Visas

In a move to facilitate travel for both business and leisure, Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration (DGI) has introduced a game-changing visa policy, unveiling the 5-year Multiple Entry visas known as D1 and D2.

Indonesia’s 5-Year Multiple-Entry Visas:

The new visa category offers a five-year validity period for multiple entries, allowing stays of up to 60 days per visit for foreigners engaged in tourism or business activities.

Standard tourist visas typically permit a 30-day stay with a single entry, extendable for an additional 30 days before expiration.

D1 and D2 Visas Catering to Various Needs:

Starting January 2024, foreigners can choose between two multiple-entry visas:

• D1 Visa: Tailored for leisure travelers, the D1 Visa allows exploration of Indonesia for up to 60 days per visit, covering activities like sightseeing, visiting friends and family, and attending cultural events.
• D2 Visa: Designed for business travelers, the D2 Visa permits a 60-day stay per visit for activities such as participating in meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and business negotiations. However, engaging in full-time employment or commercial activities requiring a work permit is not allowed.
